H1N1 Influenza (Flu)
The United States, Canada and Mexico continue to work together with international organizations in actively monitoring the H1N1 flu outbreak. For additional and latest information, please see the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website: www.cdc.gov [travel alerts].

Travel Alert for Mexico The Department of State alerts U.S. citizens of the health risks of travel to Mexico at this time due to an outbreak of H1N1 flu. The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and all U.S. Consulates throughout the country have suspended all non-essential services to the public until May 6. Consular services for U.S. citizens will be limited to emergency assistance and citizenship applications (passports and consular reports of birth abroad). [more]

The Consulate provides only emergency assistance to Americans in distress; we do not provide full consular services. Manitoba-related consular matters such as visas, passports, and notarials will continue to be processed at other U.S. Consulates General, primarily Calgary.

Please visit the American Citizen Information Services web site for general information.
